Judgement & Forgiveness

For as the Bible states that all have sinned and all have came short of the glory of God so then why do we think that we are better than others? We all have sinned and there is none that can make it own their own. In our world we see judgement daily and it is rare to see forgiveness. One person will just simple look at other wrongly and there are hard feelings between them. We are so quick to judge and condemn without the slightest remembrance of forgiveness.

The word of God in Romans 14:10-11 states "But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God". God's word is clear that there is only one that can and will judge and that is God. When someone wrongs us or does something against us they hurt us but most importantly they break, not our law, but God's Law. We as an individual have no laws for others. We are not the masters of anyone. We are just sinners. When someone does something against us they break God's Law. We cannot enforce God's Law only God can. Likewise only God can forgive them of their sin against God. However, God has instructed us to not hold anything against anyone. God has told us to forgive and to show love towards all even if they do not seek forgiveness from us. For God has forgiven those who believe on Jesus, likewise we should forgive those who do wrong against us.

Forgiveness is strong and powerful it shows the mercy of God. When a born again child of God forgives someone that has wronged them, even when they do not ask for forgiveness, it shows the love of Christ that is within us. It shows the mercy that God has for sinners that can be gained though believing on Jesus by being saved. Whenever we wrong someone we need to seek forgiveness from God and turn from our sins and follow Jesus each and every day. If you have wronged someone but have received forgiveness from God though Jesus but the person you wronged won't forgive you, it does not matter because God is the only one that can judge and they will have to answer to God. For God commanded that we forgive others their sins and we seek forgiveness from God through Jesus.

God's word does not say to first seek forgiveness from others on earth but it states that we must receive forgiveness from God through Jesus Christ's Blood! Likewise we also must forgive others always even if they never seek forgiveness from us because if God will forgive them we must also forgive them since we are not the Judge but just sinners.
